Babenhausen Barracks – Hesse, Germany
The Babenhausen Barracks, which were used during WWII, have since been converted into a museum. Guests have reported lights turning off and on, disembodied voices from the basement, and German commands being yelled at all hours of the night. Even more terrifying is the fact that many soldiers who have visited the museum have reported answering a telephone and hearing a woman speaking backwards. During the 19th century, a woman accused of being a witch was burned at the stake, and many believe the myth that she seduced and killed multiple German soldiers.
