Akershus Castle– Oslo, Norway
Akershus Castle was built as a fortress to protect Oslo from invasion, and it was later used as a prison where people could “rent” prisoners for slave labor. While it was never besieged by another country by force, it was surrendered to Nazi Germany in 1940 and used for several executions during the war. Visitors have reported seeing a robed woman wandering the halls, and a demonic dog. Legend has it that people who see the demonic dog will die a traumatic death months later.
