14. Road traffic accidents – Texting and driving accounts for a lot of these cases. This 14th leading cause of death kills about nine people per 100,000. Efforts are being made to help people be aware of the surroundings, especially when traffic is coming at them to no fault of their own.
15. Liver disease – Fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite and yellow skin or eyes are some of the symptoms. Other signs include frequent bruising, pale stool color, or legs and ankle swelling. This 15th cause of death takes about eight people per 100,000 in the United States.
